This speculative project proposes a large barn style residence embedded within the rural context of the Mornington Peninsula. Informed by local agricultural typologies, namely horse stables, reimagined as a contemporary home. Vernacular materials such as timber, sheet  metal, and masonry are expressed with clarity and restraint, reinforcing a robust, working character while allowing the house to sit comfortably within its landscape. The composition balances monumentality and warmth, creating a grounded architecture shaped by place, use, and tradition.
