This large English barn–inspired extension in Red Hill is set in a picturesque landscape of rolling hills gently tumbling toward the ocean in the distance. Designed to expand the existing house with additional bedrooms, bathrooms and generous entertaining spaces. Conceived as part of a broader masterplan, comprising; renovations to the existing house; 3-car carport; pool/landscaping and the now completed cottage studio. All connecting via a series of decks and pergolas that step down the site and engage with the landscaped gardens and infinity pool.

The robust, simple barn geometry is expressed through a palette of handmade terracotta roof tiles and blackened radial sawn weatherboards, grounding the building in its rural context while providing a warm, durable and timeless architectural presence.
